Qu’est-ce qui fait qu’un aliment pour chien est v\u00e9g\u00e9talien ?<\/h2>\n\n

D\u00e9finissons ce qu’est un aliment v\u00e9g\u00e9talien (je pr\u00e9sume que si vous lisez ceci, vous comprenez parfaitement ce qu’est un aliment pour chien \ud83d\ude0a, je ne m’\u00e9tendrai donc pas sur le sujet).<\/p>\n\n

Je vais \u00e9galement supposer que nous connaissons la diff\u00e9rence entre amical et inamical \ud83d\ude0a ou \ud83d\ude20<\/p>\n\n

Tout d’abord, qu’est-ce que le v\u00e9ganisme ? Les r\u00e9gimes v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens (et v\u00e9g\u00e9tariens) excluent tous deux la viande et les fruits de mer (ainsi que les insectes !). Les r\u00e9gimes v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens vont cependant plus loin en incluant tous les autres aliments d’origine animale. Ainsi, en plus d’\u00e9viter la viande, les v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens \u00e9vitent les produits laitiers, les \u0153ufs et le miel. En outre, les aliments v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens ne contiennent jamais de sous-produits de l’agriculture animale, tels que le saindoux, le lactos\u00e9rum ou la g\u00e9latine. <\/p>\n\n

Si un produit est commercialis\u00e9 en tant que produit v\u00e9g\u00e9talien, il ne doit contenir aucun ingr\u00e9dient d’origine animale ou d\u00e9riv\u00e9 d’un animal. Cela signifie \u00e9galement qu’aucun animal ou produit animal n’a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 dans une quelconque partie du produit lors de sa fabrication. <\/p>\n\n

Toutefois, en l’absence de certification officielle par un organisme d’agr\u00e9ment v\u00e9gane tel que Vegan Friendly<\/a>, The Vegan Society<\/a>, European Vegetarian Union<\/a>, Vegan Action<\/a> ou The Vegetarian Society<\/a>, il peut \u00eatre difficile de v\u00e9rifier si un produit, y compris les aliments pour chiens, est compatible ou non avec le mode de vie v\u00e9gane.<\/p>\n\n

Une nourriture pour chiens v\u00e9g\u00e9talienne<\/a> est donc avant tout une nourriture pour chiens fabriqu\u00e9e sans ingr\u00e9dients d’origine animale, c’est-\u00e0-dire uniquement \u00e0 partir d’ingr\u00e9dients d’origine v\u00e9g\u00e9tale.<\/p>\n\n

Les aliments pour chiens<\/a> strictement v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens<\/a> ne devraient pas \u00eatre test\u00e9s sur des chiens qui vivent en captivit\u00e9 dans le seul but de tester des produits alimentaires.<\/p>\n\n

Certains ingr\u00e9dients essentiels \u00e0 l’alimentation de votre chien ne sont pas faciles \u00e0 obtenir et sont souvent beaucoup plus chers que leurs \u00e9quivalents d’origine animale.<\/p>\n\n

La plus importante d’entre elles est la vitamine D, que votre chien doit puiser dans son alimentation car, contrairement \u00e0 nous, son organisme ne peut pas fabriquer cette vitamine essentielle.<\/p>\n\n

Bien que la vitamine D2 puisse \u00eatre d\u00e9riv\u00e9e de sources v\u00e9g\u00e9tales, y compris de champignons, son utilisation n’est plus autoris\u00e9e dans les aliments pour chiens en tant que source principale de vitamine D pour les chiens. L’EFSA(Autorit\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des aliments<\/a>) a interdit que la vitamine D2 soit la seule source de vitamine D dans les aliments pour chiens \u00e0 partir de 2019. <\/p>\n\n

C’est pourquoi la majorit\u00e9 des aliments pour chiens utilisent une vitamine D3 d\u00e9riv\u00e9e de la lanoline pr\u00e9sente dans la laine de mouton. La vitamine D3 v\u00e9g\u00e9talienne<\/a> est d\u00e9riv\u00e9e d’algues. Sa structure chimique est exactement la m\u00eame que celle de la lanoline. Elle est cependant beaucoup plus ch\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n
