De nombreux propri\u00e9taires de chiens s&rsquo;interrogent \u00e0 ce sujet : Pourquoi les chiens mangent-ils de l&rsquo;herbe ? S&rsquo;agit-il d&rsquo;un besoin alimentaire inn\u00e9 ou d&rsquo;un signe plus inqui\u00e9tant ? Dans cet article, nous allons nous pencher sur ce comportement, en examinant les raisons pour lesquelles les chiens mangent de l&rsquo;herbe, si c&rsquo;est lorsqu&rsquo;ils sont malades et pourquoi certains finissent par vomir apr\u00e8s coup.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi les chiens mangent-ils de l&rsquo;herbe ? Les bases <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historiquement, les chiens \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat sauvage se nourrissaient souvent de v\u00e9g\u00e9taux. En effet, contrairement aux chats, les chiens ne sont pas des carnivores stricts. Leurs habitudes alimentaires se rapprochent plut\u00f4t de celles des omnivores, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire qu&rsquo;ils peuvent consommer \u00e0 la fois de la viande et des aliments d&rsquo;origine v\u00e9g\u00e9tale. Il est possible que les chiens domestiques d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui aient conserv\u00e9 ce comportement ancestral.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En outre, certaines th\u00e9ories sugg\u00e8rent que les chiens pourraient manger de l&rsquo;herbe pour les raisons suivantes :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Besoins nutritionnels<\/strong>: L&rsquo;herbe contient des nutriments essentiels dont un chien peut avoir besoin, surtout s&rsquo;ils manquent dans son alimentation habituelle. Il s&rsquo;agit notamment de <a href=\"https:\/\/bonza-retheme.blz.au\/fr\/?page_id=51618\">fibres<\/a>, qui facilitent la digestion, et d&rsquo;autres min\u00e9raux. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comportement instinctif<\/strong>: Manger de l&rsquo;herbe peut aider les chiens \u00e0 purger leur organisme s&rsquo;ils ne se sentent pas bien ou s&rsquo;ils ont mang\u00e9 quelque chose qui ne leur a pas plu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Go\u00fbt et texture<\/strong>: Certains chiens peuvent simplement appr\u00e9cier le go\u00fbt ou la texture de l&rsquo;herbe, tout comme les humains appr\u00e9cient certains aliments pour leur texture ou leur croquant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi les chiens mangent-ils de l&rsquo;herbe lorsqu&rsquo;ils sont malades ?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;une des croyances les plus r\u00e9pandues est que les chiens mangent de l&rsquo;herbe lorsqu&rsquo;ils se sentent mal. L&rsquo;id\u00e9e est que ce comportement est un rem\u00e8de naturel qui les aide \u00e0 provoquer des vomissements. Mais est-ce vrai ?  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9m\u00e9tique naturel<\/strong>: La texture grossi\u00e8re des brins d&rsquo;herbe peut irriter la gorge et la paroi de l&rsquo;estomac du chien, ce qui peut provoquer des vomissements. Si un chien a consomm\u00e9 quelque chose de toxique ou d&rsquo;indigeste, cet acte de vomissement peut \u00eatre b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour expulser la substance nocive. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aide \u00e0 la digestion<\/strong>: Pour les chiens qui ne vomissent pas apr\u00e8s avoir mang\u00e9 de l&rsquo;herbe, les fibres ajout\u00e9es peuvent faciliter le transit intestinal et leur permettre d&rsquo;\u00e9vacuer tout ce qui les incommode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seuls 10 % des chiens qui mangent de l&rsquo;herbe n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas en bonne sant\u00e9 au moment o\u00f9 ils ont mang\u00e9. Il est important de noter que tous les chiens ne vomissent pas apr\u00e8s avoir mang\u00e9 de l&rsquo;herbe et que tous les chiens qui mangent de l&rsquo;herbe ne sont pas malades avant. Cela nous am\u00e8ne au point suivant.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi les chiens mangent-ils de l&rsquo;herbe et vomissent-ils ?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comme nous l&rsquo;avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 mentionn\u00e9, tous les chiens qui mangent de l&rsquo;herbe ne finissent pas par vomir. En fait, moins de 25 % des chiens vomissent apr\u00e8s avoir mang\u00e9 de l&rsquo;herbe. Cependant, pour ceux qui vomissent, voici quelques explications possibles :  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Irritation caus\u00e9e par les lames de l&rsquo;herbe<\/strong>: La texture rugueuse de l&rsquo;herbe peut irriter la muqueuse de l&rsquo;estomac et de la gorge du chien et provoquer des vomissements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Consommation rapide<\/strong>: Si un chien engloutit rapidement de grandes quantit\u00e9s d&rsquo;herbe, cet apport soudain de fourrage grossier peut provoquer des maux d&rsquo;estomac et des vomissements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Toxines ou pesticides<\/strong>: Certaines herbes peuvent \u00eatre trait\u00e9es avec des produits chimiques nocifs pour les chiens.
