Net zoals mensen kwetsbaar zijn voor neurodegeneratieve ziekten, kunnen ook honden cognitieve achteruitgang doormaken, vooral naarmate ze ouder worden. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonza-retheme.blz.au\/nl\/?page_id=51101\">Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD)<\/a>, vaak &#8220;hondendementie&#8221; genoemd, wordt gekenmerkt door geheugenverlies, verwarring en gedragsveranderingen die lijken op de ziekte van Alzheimer bij mensen.
